Hello my fellow Zombies and Survivors,

I just wanted to let you all know about everything that has been going on here at the convention center for this years Austin GDC. Right now as I'm writing this, it's about 9:30 am and I'm waiting to go to my first panel of the day called "Fostering Open-Ended Play: Unleashing the Creative Community" by Sulka Haro. So I figured I would go ahead and take this time to write up this log and let you know what's been going on. The first day of AGDC started off with a interesting keynote from Michael Morhaime (CEO of Blizzard, Inc.) about the history of Blizzard and some of their experiences with World of Warcraft. From there it's been going from one panel to the next listening to guys from Blizzard, BioWare, and a few other companies about certain situations they have faced and their current attitudes about the industry. From time to time I've been running into friends and past colleagues that are currently working at other MMO companies and catching up with them.

Once the panels were finally over, it was time to go to some meeting that we have set up with other parties interested in "Exanimus". Everyone that I've been meeting with are all very excited about that game and the work that we have already put into it. The features that we have designed, the fact that it's a Horror genre, all the art related items that we have shown them, and the other features that we've been keeping a secret until a later time have them all pumped up about the game. What really gets me occasionally is the person that I run into while taking a coffee break outside that recognizes my name or our company. I'll catch them taking a quick glance at my name tag and ask if me if we are the developers working on the "Zombie MMO". From there it's listening to them talk about how they love the concept and can't wait to see it out so they can play it. It's really great to talk with other developers from all over the world that know about the title and are as excited about it as we are. So the rest of this week should be interesting.

Now for what you have been waiting for. I've been getting all kinds of PM's from people on the forums and reading the threads about getting a map for the game. Well, because I've been showing it to people here at AGDC, I figured it's only fair that you guy's get a chance to see it also. This should give you on overview on just how big the world is for you to explore. Now, be aware, this is NOT a map from inside the Engine. This is the map that we first designed to start planning the entire world and areas that players will be able to explore. This is just to give you an idea of the size and score of the game itself. We were going to call the map the "World of Exanimus", but decided against that. So, without further delay, I give you the first glimpse of the Exanimus world map.
