Hey Everyone,

First I just want to say Happy Halloween to everyone. I wanted to sit down and let you know what's going on. I've been hitting the forums answering some questions that I wanted to recap here and let you know that we are still around plugging away on the game. I know your all itching for news and updates. I'll start by covering some questions here first.

Q:) Does Exanimus have a storyline?

A:) Absolutely. I know everyone is looking to immerse themselves in the world and the best way to do that is thru a great story. I know everyone is wondering what kind of story that the game will have and will it answer questions on where the Zombies come from. I can say is that there are elements in place for players that want to know the origin of the Zombies to explore. But there are some twist and interactive elements that we have in store for you. It's not just going to be a mission you take. It will be a whole experience that we think players will really enjoy participating in. Besides the obvious storyline, we are also working hard to bring in additional main story lines and minor story lines to keep players emerged in the world. Both Human and Zombie.

Q:) Will a Creative and Clever mind help me survive?

A:) Yes. Don't expect to walk into this game with some kind of laser pistol that has unlimited ammo and run into the middle of a Zombie pack and expect to win. That's not this game. How you progress your character, where you go for supplies, how you interact with the players and NPC's, what you carry with you, etc... will all impact you. If you act like an idiot, expect to be dinner for a Zombie or killed by another human.

Q:) Is PvP going to be full-allowance world PvP? As in anyone could kill anyone else at any time?

A:) Yes and No. In most games that I've played or seen, the PvP area is usually some kind of area that is set aside for players wanting to do that. We have taking an entirely different route when it comes to PvP, PvZ, PvE, ZvE, and any other kind of v combination. Zombies and Human will be able to go at it at any time. That's a no brainier (no pun intended). But players playing as humans will also have the ability to go PvP against other human players. We have safe Zones from PvP, such as the Downtown survivor city and a few others. Think of it like Dodge City with Wyatt Earp walking around making sure everyone behaves themselves. But when you leave the safety of the city gates on a convoy or solo, don't just think Zombies are going to be your only problem. We have additional PvP setups and ways to try to avoid some problem players, but I can't get into them right now.

Q:) Will there be some sort of reputation system?

A:) We are working on a design of our reputation system. So, yes, there is one. I can't say what all will and won't be in it as right now it's in the initial phases, but when things are a little more solid, you will start to see that info.

Now to what's been going on that I can talk about. We are still working on the game and getting the world setup. We are right now reviewing and coming up with additional places that players will be to discover. This is a complicated process because when we come up with area, we have to start adding in back story info, NPC's, what kind of missions will be available, and a few other surprises that we are not able to talk about right now. It's a very long and complicated process, especially with the world that we are trying to build. That's been the focus of team for the past few weeks, minus the other typical stuff like asset creation and technology related items. So, we are pushing forward and want everyone to know. I know people have been screaming for updates. So, until next time my fellow survivors and zombies.
